7 BASIC RULES FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT PUPPY

Buying the right puppy is not as simple as it may seem. For a first dog owner, it is advised you discuss it with a veterinary doctor. It is often said that puppies choose their new owners rather  than the other way round, believe me there is much truth about to this claim. 

An overly shy puppy may have socialization problems later. The puppy that comes forward from the cage, asking to be chosen is probably the right one.

Like the rules of the thumb, the following succinctly written rules will guide you in choosing the right puppy:
1.       Make sure there is no discharge from the eyes.

2.       The membranes of the nose must be clear and free of discharge. There must be no sign of a running   nose.
3.       The inside of the ears must look pink and shiny, without inflammation or dark-coloured wax.
4.       Soreness or inflammation of the rims of the eyes may be serious signs of present and potential disease.
5.       The puppy’s coat and skin should feel  loose and soft. The skin should be free of sore.
6.       Sturdy and strong limbs are a must for any breed.
7.       Puppies must have a clean bottom.
